Our Privacy Philosophy
Roam Focus is a local-first productivity application designed for iOS. We believe that your focus time and journey data are deeply personal and should remain under your exclusive control.
Data Storage & Sync
All your focus sessions, journey records, and discovered landmarks are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not operate any servers to store your personal activity data.
Permissions Usage
Location Services: We request location access to simulate your virtual journey based on real-world movement and to help you discover nearby landmarks during focus sessions. This data is processed locally and never uploaded.
Photo Library: Required only for the "Save Journey Summary" function. We do not access, read, or scan your existing photo collection.
Third-Party Services
WeatherKit: We use Apple's WeatherKit to provide real-time weather context for your journeys. This is handled via Apple's privacy-preserving APIs.
No Tracking: We do not integrate any third-party analytics (like Firebase or Mixpanel) or advertising SDKs. Your app usage patterns are never monitored.
